Cyclist Injured In Leesburg Vehicle Crash Dies: LCSO
A bicyclist seriously injured in a crash with a vehicle early last month in Leesburg has died, says the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

LEESBURG, VA—A bicyclist seriously injured in a crash with a vehicle early last month has died, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. Jesus Walter B. Ramos-Benitez, 41, of Leesburg, died Sunday, June 30, of his injuries.
Around 9:40 p.m. June 1, police responded to the the area of Sycolin Road between Shreve Mill Road and the Leesburg "park-and-ride" for a reported crash involving a cyclist and a vehicle. The vehicle's driver remained on the scene, and Ramos-Benitez was flown to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Details about the crash haven't been released, and police said Wednesday, July 3, it remains under investigation "in coordination with the Loudoun Commonwealth's Attorney's Office."
