  1. A round of health inspections in Loudoun County has discovered violations at five local restaurants. Lansdowne Main Kitchen had 13 violations, Burger King on Edwards Ferry Rd had one violation, ResQ BBQ Mobile had one violation, Rodeo’s Mexican Grill had five violations, and LA Taqueria had one violation. Each of the restaurants was given corrections to amend the issues. These facilities were inspected between May 17, 2023, and May 23, 2023. (Leesburg Patch)
  2. A Navy Veteran who began farming in 2019 is now strictly growing Cannabis. Jeff Boogaard is the owner of Cannabreeze Farm, a local business that grows, dries, produces, and sells CBD rubs, oils, infusers, and more. Boogaard believes that CBD played a part in relieving anxiety and symptoms from his daughter’s cancer treatment and that there are many benefits from its use. His daughter is now two-and-a-half years into her cancer remission. (WTOP)
  3. Volunteers rallied together to rescue an eaglet that had fallen from a partially collapsed nest in Leesburg. Public and Customer Relations Manager for Dulles Greenway, Terry Hoffman was notified of a missing eaglet, known as 'DG4', that was found by volunteers on the ground near the nest. There we no signs of injury but the bird was taken to Blue Ridge Wildlife Center as a precaution. The group of eaglets that hatched earlier in the month will be named on Thursday and the naming results will be posted on Facebook. (WTOP)
