Jazz: Spirituality in a Minor Key

Connections between faith and jazz & blues

On Friday, Nov. 18 at 7 p.m., St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 37018 Glendale Street in Purcellville, is hosting “Jazz: Spirituality in a Minor Key.” Guests will enjoy a night of great Jazz and Blues performed by Presbyterian pastor and professional Jazz drummer Chip Hammond and his band On Easy Street and learn about this uniquely American artform which grew out of the African American experience and faith. The evening’s format will be story and song with a reception after the performance.
