Leesburg Names New Information Technology Manager

Annie Carlson will develop a long-term strategic plan for the town's information technology needs.

Annie Carlson, currently a senior management and systems analyst with the Town of Leesburg's Finance Department, has been named the town's new Information Technology Manager.

Leesburg Town Manager John Wells said in a statement Thursday that Carlson, who has worked for the town since 1998, will now supervise day-to-day operations of the department, along with implementing information technology-related projects in the current budget and developing a long-term strategic plan for the town’s information technology needs.

Carlson replaces Brian Chavis, the president and chief executive officer of the AR Group, who was overseeing the department on a contract basis. Chavis will continue to provide information technology advisory and consulting services to the town, Wells said.
