Leesburg Opens Cold Weather Shelter For The Season
The shelter will remain open overnight through March 2021.
LEESBURG, VA — Loudoun County’s cold weather shelter has reopened for winter, providing overnight warmth for the homeless population in the Leesburg area.
The center, located at 19520 Meadowview Court in Leesburg will be open nightly from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. through March 31, 2021. It will also offer meals and shower facilities.
Those staying in the shelter will be required to register and observe coronavirus safety measures including temperature checks, a COVID-19 symptom screening and wearing a face covering.

People in the shelter are not permitted to bring weapons, drugs, alcohol or bicycles, the county said in a news release. Smoking is not permitted.
The county said all bags will be searched and stored in a secured room during the night.

The shelter is open for adults 18-years-old and older.
