Leesburg Police Investigate Homicide

Police say man was found dead Saturday morning in bedroom; wife in custody.

A 63-year-old man is dead Saturday after what the Leesburg Police Department is calling "an isolated domestic-related incident."

The case is being investigated as a homicide.  

Officers were called just after 6 a.m. Saturday to Chicksaw Place NE for a suspicious incident. When they arrived, they found the man dead in an upstairs bedroom, according to a statement released by the department Saturday morning.

Police said they have taken the victim's 57-year-old wife into custody. She is being interviewed this morning, police said in the statement.

The victim has not been identified as police work to notify next of kin.

The Leesburg Police Department's Criminal Investigations Section, with the assistance of the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Unit, are on scene continuing the investigation, including cause of death.

"There is no threat to the immediate community," police said in a statement.
