Leesburg Police Investigating Armed Robbery at 7-Eleven

The Leesburg Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that took place Friday morning at a local 7-Eleven.

Police responded to a report of an armed robbery at the 7-Eleven convenience store located at 700 Fieldstone Drive around 4:33 a.m. Friday. A male suspect reportedly entered the store brandishing a firearm and ordered the clerk to lie on the floor while he proceeded to rob the store. The suspect then fled the store on foot. No injuries were reported.

Police arrived within minutes of the call and began an investigation. The store was closed during the initial investigation but has since reopened. The investigation is currently ongoing.
