Lovettsville Stabbing Leads To Charges For Teenager: Police

LOVETTSVILLE, VA — A teenager stabbed a man and tried to rob him in Lovettsville on Dec. 1, the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said.

The child and the victim received treatment at an area hospital for injuries they suffered in the altercation, according to authorities.

Police officials have not provided the age of the suspect, but they told Patch he is a teenager. He will not be publicly named due to a Virginia law that protects the identities of minors. He is charged with attempted robbery, abduction, and malicious wounding.

The sheriff's office said the stabbing occurred on Friday, Dec. 1 in the 38600 block of Morrisonville Road. There, the child suspect tried to rob the victim and would not let him leave the area, investigators said.

When deputies arrived on the scene, they found that the teenager and the adult victim were suffering from injuries. The adult was also suffering from stab wounds, police said.

Investigator later determined that the victim and the suspect already knew each other.
