CLARKE COUNTY, VA—A White Post man was killed and two Purcellville residents injured Sunday night, June 16, in a two-vehicle crash on Route 340 near Route 633 (Annfield Road), according to Virginia State Police. Jeffrey A. Woodward, 33, was pronounced dead at the scene. A 58-year-old man and a 59-year-old woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to area hospitals.

Around 8:50 p.m., a 2004 Honda Accord driven by Woodward was headed south on Route 340 when it crossed the center line and collided with a 2017 Chevy Silverado. Woodward wasn't wearing a seat belt but the two unidentified occupants of the Chevy were wearing seat belts. Police say speed may be a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
