NOVA Welcomes New Dean to Loudoun Campus

Riley Dwyer will oversee the 12,000-student facility along Route 7 in Sterling.

Northern Virginia Community College recently welcomed Riley Dwyer to its Loudoun campus to serve as the dean of communication and human studies.

Dwyer will oversee 19 academic departments and serve as one of two deans on the 12,000-student campus who report to NOVA-Loudoun Provost Julie Leidig.

Prior to joining NOVA this summer, Dwyer served as a professor and program lead of film studies at Moorpark College of the Ventura County Community College District in California. Dwyer holds a Master of Fine Arts degree (MFA) in critical studies and writing from the California Institute of the Arts and a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts from The Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA.
