Obituary: Laura Virginia Shreve, 93

Laura Virginia Shreve, 93, of Leesburg, VA, passed away Monday, July 8, 2013, at INOVA Loudoun Hospital Center in Leesburg.

Laura was born Saturday, Nov. 1, 1919, in Arlington County, VA. She was a daughter of the late James Morris Howard and the late Laura Virginia Rice Howard.

She was the wife of the late Allen Kenneth Shreve Sr. who predeceased her in 1992. She was also predeceased by her daughter Laura Lee and son-in-law Wallace E. Newman.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Allen Kenneth Shreve, Jr.  and daughter in law Susan of Leesburg, VA; her daughter, Cindy Shreve of Leesburg, VA; her brother, Allen Howard & sister in law Laura of Arlington, VA; two grandchildren, Allen Kenneth Shreve, III, and Laura Elizabeth Destanley both of Leesburg; four great-grandchildren, A.K. Shreve, IV, Ethan Matthew Shreve, Laura Olivia Destanley, Camille Shreve Destanley; plus many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Laura loved animals, especially dog’s therefore, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Humane Society of Loudoun County, PO Box 601, Leesburg, VA 20178.
