More Than 19,500 Lost Power in Loudoun

Dominion Power and NOVEC are working to restore power to thousands across the region.

UPDATE: As of 7:10 p.m., a little more than 2,500 customers remained without power, meaning power has been restored to about 17,000 customers.

UPDATE: By 4:55 p.m., Dominion and NOVEC had restore power to more than 2,500 customers, according to their outage websites. That means a little less than 17,000 continue to wait for power.

The heavy winds and rains that just blew threw the county have left thousands without power, including parts of Ashburn and Leesburg.

Both Dominion Virginia Power and NOVEC were reporting outages in the county, with 15,506 of Dominion’s 102,956 customers and 4,168 of NOVEC’s 23,468 customers in Loudoun at 4:10 p.m., according to their respective websites. Dominion appeared to have restored service to nearly 300 customers by 4:20 p.m.
