Remains of Missing Leesburg Teen Found in Field in West Virginia

Carlos Armando Otero-Henriquez, 18, had been missing since May 23. Leesburg Police say investigation is ongoing.

LEESBURG, Va. — The remains of a local teen missing since May 23 were located in an open field in West Virginia, according to Leesburg Police.

Carlos Armando Otero-Henriquez, 18, had been reported missing by a family member. 

The remains were found on June 3 in an field in Jefferson County, W.Va. — 45 minutes from Leesburg. The remains have since been identified as belonging to Otero-Henriquez.

"The investigation into the death of Otero-Henriquez is ongoing and is being conducted with the assistance of multiple law enforcement partners," said Lt. Jeffrey Dubé, a police spokesperson.
