Robbery Suspects Arrested; Suspects Sought In 2 Other Sheetz Holdups

Two suspects face robbery charges after a Sheetz convenience store was robbed for the second time in a month, Leesburg police said.

LEESBURG, VA — Two suspects face robbery charges after a Sheetz convenience store was robbed for the second time in a month, the Leesburg Police Department said. The early morning armed robbery occurred at the store at 915 Edwards Ferry Road NW.

About 3:35 a.m. Tuesday, two male suspects entered the store and demanded money from the clerk, a police news release said. One of the suspects implied he had a firearm. The pair fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Detectives identified both suspects, and warrants were obtained. About 9:27 a.m., Leesburg Police officers saw the pair in the unit block of Plaza Street NE, and they were taken into custody without incident.

Fidel Ordonez Molina, 19, and Jose A. Rosa Munoz, 19, both of Leesburg, were each charged with one count of robbery using a firearm and one count of violent activities while wearing a mask.

A police news release said Ordonez Molina was also charged with one count of larceny.

Both men were taken to the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center, where they are being held without bond.

Last month, two armed robberies at Sheetz stores were reported, and those cases remain under investigation:

  • May 8 about 3:47 a.m., a robbery occurred at the Sheetz at 915 Edwards Ferry Road NW.
  • May 18 about 1:10 a.m., a robbery occurred at the Sheetz at 601 California Drive NE.
