  1. Loudoun County's first Sonic Drive-In is set to open in mid-July in Leesburg. The fast food chain's Leesburg location — which has been a highly-anticipated addition since 2019 is part of the Oaklawn development at Miller Drive SE and Battlefield Parkway SE. Currently, the restaurant is hiring for all positions, and job-seekers can apply by texting “sonicleesburg” to 242424. (The Burn)
  2. Loudoun County Public Schools said that it will turn over a report on how it handled sexual assaults back in 2021, but the report will not be made public. The report for former Superintendent Scott Ziegler's case involves how two in-school sexual assaults by the same student were handled. Last week, the county announced that it hired Virginia Beach Superintendent Aaron Spence to lead the school system and replace Ziegler. (WTOP)
