Student Charged After Assaulting Employee At Woodgrove High School, Sheriff's Office Says
A Woodgrove High School student faces an assault charge after an employee was assaulted at the school on March 2, police said.

PURCELLVILLE, VA — A student assaulted a teacher at Woodgrove High School in Purcellville earlier this month, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. The student faces an assault and battery charge.
Authorities have not publicly released the name, gender, or age of the student. Officials said the assault occurred on March 2. The employee reported the incident to authorities on March 3.
The employee suffered minor injuries in the assault, police said.

The sheriff's office forwarded the case to Loudoun County Juvenile Court Services. They issued petitions for assault and battery.
A Loudoun County deputy served the petition to the student on Thursday, the sheriff's office said.
