Student Charged After Assault At Heritage High School: Police
An 18-year-old student has been charged in connection with a November assault at Heritage High School in Leesburg.
LEESBURG, VA — An 18-year-old student from Heritage High School has been criminally charged in connection with a November assault in the school's cafeteria.
The victim in the assault, who police only identified as a teenage juvenile, suffered serious injuries.
Authorities identified the suspect as Pardeep Bagri. He is charged with one count of malicious wounding. He is being held without bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.

According to Virginia's sentencing guidelines, a malicious wounding conviction can carry a sentence of up to 20 years.
On Nov. 9, a fight broke out at Heritage High School's cafeteria. The Leesburg Police Department opened an investigation in conjunction with Loudoun County Public Schools.

Investigators said the victim suffered serious injuries to their upper body as a result of the assault.
"The case now pends adjudication in the Loudoun County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court," the Leesburg Police Department said in a news release.
