At the start of our school day, a social media message involving Blue Ridge was brought to my attention. Purely as a precaution, the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office and Purcellville Police Department each sent personnel to our school. The message was traced and deemed not to be a credible threat to our students and staff. Your student might have noticed an extra law enforcement presence on our campus. I wanted to assure you that, while we had something out of the ordinary happen on our campus, we are continuing with a regular school day, Because this incident involves potential student discipline, I cannot discuss further details.
