Work on Sycolin Overpass Begins Saturday

A portion of the road will be closed during construction and access to the bypass will end permanently.

The traffic signal at Sycolin Road and The Route 7/15 Bypass will be removed June 8 as work begins on the new Sycolin Overpass. During construction, Sycolin will be closed from Hope Parkway to Gateway Drive; access between Sycolin and the bypass will end permanently.

See map for new travel options.

The Virginia Department of Transportation and the Town of Leesburg will monitor traffic signals along Route 7 (East Market Street) and Battlefield Parkway. Residents can report unusual signal delays related to the work by completing a form on the town’s website, www.leesburgva.gov/trafficconcern
