- Leesburg Town Councilman, Zachary Cummings is in the running for State Senate for the 31st District. He is seeking the Democratic nomination in the Primary this year and his opponent is attorney Russet Perry. So far, both are in agreement on all major policies. (Ground News)
- A new Recovery Center is Opening in Leesburg! Loudon Serenity House held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday to celebrate the center opening. Serenity House is located in downtown Leesburg at 29 North King Street. (Loudon Times-Mirror)
- Scholarship awards were presented to two Leesburg students. Two "Heart of Humanity " Awards were presented by the Ryan Bartel Foundation. The scholarships recognize the offering of hope and compassion to others suffering from drug addiction and hopelessness, and their importance to mental health. (Loudon Times-Mirror)
