Chili Cook-Off at Greenspring on Friday

The top recipes will be entered into the DC101 Chili Cook-Off!

The Greenspring retirement community in Springfield is hosting its first annual Chili Cook-Off on Friday, Aug. 30. The top two recipes will be entered into the 2014 DC101 Chili Cook-Off next spring.

NBC4 Washington news anchor Angie Goff will emcee the event and announce the winners.

The two categories for the cook-off are “protein’ and “vegetarian”.  

The event, which include bluegrass music, will be held from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the Hunter’s Crossing Conference Center, 7430 Spring Village Dr.
