• Books from Fairfax residents and libraries find new life with resale programs (ffxnow.com) — Lorton residents can now drop textiles at Helpsy bins at the I-95 Landfill Complex on Furnace Road, alongside Fairfax County’s new book reuse and recycling efforts. The county’s pilot programs with New Legacy Books and ThriftBooks are turning discarded books into revenue for recycling and library materials while keeping thousands of items out of landfills and supporting Friends of the Library groups.
