Rep. Connolly to Host Telephone Town Hall Meeting Tuesday Night

What issues do you want him to hear about?

Congressman Gerry Connolly (D-11th) will hold his 15th telephone town hall Tuesday shortly before 8 p.m. for residents of Virginia’s 11th congressional district.

More than 170,000 11th District residents have participated in a tele-town hall call with Connolly since he took office in January 2009, according to his office. On one call in 2010, more than 30,000 people participated. Burke credits the turnout to a convenient format that allows constituents to participate from home.

Once a constituent has signed up for the call, they will be called shortly before the meeting begins at 8 p.m., Connolly's office noted. Connolly will give a brief rundown of the top issues in Congress and issues he is working on and will then open it up to constituent questions.

Any constituents who do not get the opportunity to personally ask a question of Connolly have the option of leaving a voicemail question and will subsequently receive a response, his office said.
