El Salvador Immigrant Sexually Assaulted By Guardian: PWC Police
A man was arrested after sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl from El Salvador in his custody, according to Prince William County Police.

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA—A man was arrested Sunday, April 21, after sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl from El Salvador in his custody, according to Prince William County Police. Jose Eliseo Barraza Guzman, 29, of no fixed address, was charged with indecent liberties of a minor by a custodian.
According to Prince William County police spokesman Renee Carr, Guzman and the girl recently were involved in a traffic crash, after which "officers on scene (were) alerted to their unique situation." An investigation found that the girl had engaged in sexual acts with Guzman after taking custody of her from her parents in El Salvador in March.
Carr said Guzman became her guardian "when the parents gave him written permission to do so." He is not a family member, and the girl was placed with people who are, in fact, family members. Police are not releasing information about where the offenses occurred.
