Fire Damages Home In Manassas Over The Weekend

The Fire Marshal's Office determined the fire to be accidental and electrical in nature.​

MANASSAS, VA—Firefighters with Prince County Fire & Rescue responded to an early morning house fire over the weekend in Manassas that left several people displaced.

According to firefighters, crews were dispatched to the 9,000 block of Manassas Forge Drive on Sunday shortly before 1 a.m.

Once on scene, crews said they encountered a fire in an upstairs closet and quickly extinguished it.

The home sustained moderate damage and deemed unsafe to occupy, firefighters said. Four adults inside the home were temporarily displaced.

One person inside the house was medically evaluated on the scene but was not transported.
