Manassas Senior Tapped to Play Softball at University of Massachusetts

A Manassas teen has signed a contract to play softball at a Massachusetts college next year.
Ashton Wince, a senior at Paul VI Catholic High School in Fairfax, signed as a player for the University of Massachusetts, according to a ReadMedia release.
As a catcher, Ashton has been named to both the Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association (VISAA) and the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference First Team All-Conference for three years.

The senior was also named to the Washington Post's Second Team All-Met.
Ashton has been on the Vienna Stars softball team for nine years.
