Manassas Primary Election Results: Woolf, Lawson Win Nominations: Post

MANASSAS, VA — Bill Wolfe secured the Republican nomination in the Virginia Senate's 30th district, according to the Associated Press. Unofficial results show Wolfe defeated fellow Republican Robert Ruffolo on Tuesday.

Wolfe will go on to face current Delegate Danica Roem in the general election in November.

Meanwhile, in the race for the Republican nomination for Prince William County chairman, Jeanine Lawson defeated Kenneth Knarr.

All election results are unofficial until certified by the department of elections and other officials.

The race for the Democratic nomination for chairman on the Prince William County Board of Supervisors was still too close to call at 11 p.m. on Tuesday night. Incumbent Democrat Ann Wheeler faced a challenge from Deshundra Jefferson.

County election officials still need to account for provisional ballots that were cast on Tuesday. According to the Virginia Department of Elections, local officials will meet on Wednesday and have 7 days to ratify any provisional ballot.
