Annual Prince William/Manassas History Symposium (princewilliamliving.com) — Mark your calendar for the Prince William/Manassas History Symposium coming to the Manassas Museum on Saturday, March 21, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Local historians will cover topics from Bristoe Station to Buckland’s African American community, and attendees can grab the latest Prince William County history journal at a special one-day price.

Origami for Hope Brings Community Together to Support UVA Health Children's (princewilliamliving.com) — A colorful display of more than 1,000 origami cranes at UVA Health Prince William Medical Center has raised over $14,000 for UVA Health Children’s, with Manassas Mayor Michelle Davis-Younger highlighting the city’s shared commitment to kids’ health. Volunteers taught visitors to fold cranes, turning a global online fundraiser into a hopeful, hands-on experience for local patients, families, and staff.
   

3. Food Lion customer wins $1M in annual Virginia Lottery raffle (shorenewsnetwork.com) — One of the $100,000 Virginia Lottery New Year’s Millionaire Raffle tickets was sold in Manassas, giving a local player a major win alongside a Madison couple’s $1 million prize. The raffle spread winnings statewide and helped generate funds that support K–12 public schools across Virginia.

Colgan's Autumn Andrews tops big sister with school-record 43 points (insidenova.com) — High school hoops fans in and around Manassas will notice Manassas Park’s boys fell 84–39 to Unity Reed, despite 12 points from Ethyn Hutchison. The same roundup highlights Colgan freshman Autumn Andrews’ record 43-point night and other strong performances from Prince William County girls teams.

Local Venezuelans celebrate Maduro's capture but are wary of Trump (princewilliamtimes.com) — A Manassas restaurateur who runs Tequeño World on Hoadly Road is celebrating the capture of former Venezuelan president Nicolás Maduro while remaining deeply skeptical of Donald Trump’s motives and policies. Alongside another former Prince William County educator, she describes how ending temporary protected status upended local Venezuelan families, even as both women cautiously hope Maduro’s arrest leads to real change back home.
