UPDATE: Per PWC Police, "Following an extensive investigation into this incident, detectives with the Violent Crimes Bureau located and identified the teen alleged to have been abducted during the evening hours of May 20 in the area of Joseph D. Reading Park in Manassas. The teen, who was actually identified as a 16-year-old female of Manassas, was located safe and unharmed. After interviewing the teen, detectives further determined that no abduction took place. Detectives are continuing their investigation into the allegations reported to police by the initial caller. At this time, there is no public threat or need for concern."

MANASSAS, VA—Authorities are investigating a teenage girl's possible abduction Monday night, May 20, in the area of Joseph D. Reading Park at 8460 Maplewood Drive, according to Prince William County Police. She's described only as "Jessica," and reportedly is 17 and approximately 5-3.

Around 9:20 p.m., responded for a possible abduction that occurred sometime earlier that night. A caller said she was speaking to an acquaintance via a mobile app when the acquaintance told her she was being abducted by several men at the park. The caller told police she has only known the acquaintance for a short time and didn't have anymore information about her.

Police say no reports have been received about a missing person matching the description provided by the caller but that they're investigating the alleged incident as a possible abduction until proven otherwise. Anyone with information is urged to call police at 703-792-6500.
