Prince William County Fair: Animal Shows, Hot Air Balloon, Rides Among Highlights

From hot balloon rides and animal shows to food, vendors and a beer, garden, the Prince William County Fair will offer fun for all ages.

MANASSAS, VA — Animal shows, a hot air balloon, rides, vendors, live performances, food and more will provide plenty of entertainment at the returning Prince William County Fair.

The fair will run Friday, Aug. 8 through Saturday, Aug. 16. Hours are 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Fridays, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturdays and Sunday.

There's something for all ages at the county fair, including carnival rides, pony rides and camel rides, monster truck shows and rides, petting zoo, home arts demonstrations, a kid's fun zone, food, a beer garden and wine tastings, crafters, vendors, dog and wildlife shows, live performances and more. Pageants for different age groups are scheduled for the first three days of the fair. On Monday and Wednesday only, the hot air balloon will be on site, and attendees can purchase a ticket to ride it.

Entry to the fair costs $25 for adults and $15 for children and seniors. Veterans and active military with ID can be admitted for free. Some attractions like rides and the hot air balloon will have additional costs. Special prices include free admission for seniors 55 and up from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Aug. 11, half-off entry from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Aug. 12, and $15 admission tickets from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Aug. 13.
