Students Threaten High School In Manassas: Police
Two 16-year-old boys were arrested after making a social media threat toward a high school in Manassas, say Prince William County Police.

MANASSAS, VA—Two 16-year-old boys were arrested Tuesday, April 30, after making a social media threat toward Osbourn Park High School at 8909 Euclid Avenue, according to Prince William County Police. They were charged with communicating threats of bodily harm and disorderly conduct.
Shortly before 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, police began an investigation into a potential threat of violence against the school. They found that a SnapChat image of a student holding a weapon was circulating on the social media app with a caption indicating violence toward the school.
The student pictured in the image and the student who took the photo were quickly identified. Police made contact with both students at their respective homes and determined the weapon displayed was an airsoft rifle, and that the risk to the school wasn't credible. After consultation with the Commonwealth Attorney's office, charges were brought against the students.
