JOHN STEVEN HAWKINS, age 35 of Manassas Park, Virginia passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at his home. John was an I.T. Security Specialist for the Department of Housing &amp; Urban Development. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Rohit Diplal. Survivors include his wife, Sheena Diplal; one daughter, Leah Isabelle Hawkins of Manassas; his parents, John E. and Jannie L. Hawkins of Woodbridge, Virginia and Linda K. Hawkins and husband Rolland Dion of Manassas, Virginia; one sister, Sheryl Barnhouse and husband Geoffrey, niece Caroline and nephew Nicholas all of Richmond, Virginia; his mother-in-law, Rita Diplal and brother-in-law Shawn Diplal both of South Africa and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. A memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, October 20, 2014 at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas. Interment will be private. Light refreshments will be served about 3:30 PM at Zapp Restaurant, 11010 Sudley Manor Dr., Manassas (Bull Run Shopping Center) following the Memorial Service.
