Manassas Park Community Matters Blog Post - Raise the Woof for the Manassas Park Dog Park! – By Jennifer Deuterman
It’s time to Bark for your Park! We have entered into a contest to win $100,000 for our dog park through PetSafe and we need your votes to get to the next level. You can vote twice a dayhere and then again on Facebook here. Just go in and find Manassas Park and VOTE!
To become a finalist for the Bark for Your Park contest, PetSafe encourages communities of pet professionals, owners, shelters, welfare groups, and local civic officials to partner together to help their town win $100,000 to build a PetSafe dog park. The runner-up city in each small, medium, and large population category will also win $25,000. The Bark from Your Heart community winner will be the finalist with the highest percentage of votes to city’s population and will also win $25,000.
Currently, the Manassas Park Dog Park is behind the Manassas Park Community Center where there is a temporary space for large and small dogs to interact and play socially. With the current location being temporary, we host many events throughout the year to raise money for maintenance. With the $100,000 we can really build an amazing community dog park with so much more to offer our furry friends. With dreams of an agility course and larger play areas, winning this contest will help us out a lot!
