Authorities in Manassas Park evacuated several homes Thursday morning during a domestic disturbance involving a man wanted by police.The city's police department announced at 11:32 a.m. on Facebook that Daniel Boyd, 30, was taken into custody. A Manassas Park resident, Boyd has been charged with abduction, assault and battery, attempted arson and attempted strangulation.The incident began at about 8 a.m. Thursday, when Manassas Park police officers responded to the 300 block of Manassas Drive for a report of a domestic disturbance involving a wanted individual, according to a report posted on Facebook by police at 9:20 a.m.The suspect "threatened to hurt himself or others and may have poured gasoline throughout the home," the report said.As a precaution, the police closed down one block of Manassas Drive between Kent Drive and Colfax Drive, and several homes and residents in the area were evacuated.Personnel from the Manassas Park Fire and Rescue Department assisted in the evacuation, along with police from Manassas and Prince William County, and deputies from the Prince William County Sheriff's Office.
