Temperatures to Feel Like 100 Degrees Friday: D.C. Metro Weather Forecast
Temperatures in the mid to high 90s Friday will feel like 100 degrees, thanks to high humidity, according to the National Weather Service.

Temperatures Friday in the mid to upper 90s will feel closer to 100 degrees across the DC metro region, according to the Capital Weather Gang. Humidity from "nearly oppressive" dew points near 70 degrees is making the heat worse, the Gang noted.
The hottest hours of the day Friday will be between 2-4 p.m. Friday when it will feel like 101 degrees, according to Accuweather. Even at 8 p.m. Friday, it's expected to feel like 90 degrees.
Meanwhile the entire DC metro region is under an Air Quality Alert Friday, according to the National Weather Service.

The Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments, in association with the Maryland, DC and Virginia departments of environmental quality, has issued a Code Orange air quality alert Friday for the entire DC metro area.
A Code Orange air quality alert means that air pollution concentrations within the region may become unhealthy for sensitive groups including children, the elderly, people suffering from asthma, heart disease or other lung diseases, according to the weather service.

The effects of air pollution can be minimized by avoiding strenuous activity or exercise outdoors, the NWS warns.
Here's what the rest of the weekend looks like, according to the National Weather Service:
- Friday night: Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening...then partly cloudy with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after midnight. Lows in the upper 70s. Southwest winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 30 percent.
- Saturday: Mostly sunny. A chance of showers and thunderstorms... Mainly in the afternoon. Hot with highs in the mid 90s. West winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 30 percent.
- Saturday Night: Partly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening...then mostly clear after midnight. Lows in the mid 70s. Northwest winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 30 percent.
- Sunday: Sunny...hot with highs in the mid 90s. North winds around 5 mph...becoming east in the afternoon.
