Neighbors report that an armed robbery occurred in the parking lot of the Balducci's shopping center near McKeever's Pub Monday night.
The Fairfax County police department has not commented about this incident.
Lori McKeever said about 7pm. a man who had just dined at the Pub with his wife returned to say they had just been robbed by an armed gunman in the parking lot.

McKeever called police. "The police were there within minutes," she said. "They were great."
Fred Dent, of McLean Rotary, sent along this note: "I was in the rear parking lot of McKeever's Pub and Cafe Tatti around 7:10pm Monday night. When I got out of my car and headed into McKeevers I heard what seemed to be an argument between a man and his wife standing by a nearby car.

"I continued into the restaurant and was chatting with proprietor Lori McKeever" when an older man walked in the restaurant "visibly shaken."
"He told me and Lori that he had just been robbed at gunpoint in the parking lot."
James Jingozian reported seeing police arrive to help the couple.
McKeever said the couple parked near the back fence of the Balducci's shopping area where the fence has been broken for sometime. She thinks the gunman slipped in and out of the broken fence.
"This is so unusual," McKeever said. "I haven't heard of anything like this in 30 years" that we've been here, she said.
