Awards Presented to elementary and middle school kids
Patrol leaders and crossing guards from McLean Elementary Schools and Musicians from Cooper Middle School honored .

On May 6, Master Patrol Officer Goldman and Sargeant Kim of the McLean Police Department presented awards to patrol leaders and crossing guards from McLean Elementary Schools. The award winners included: Jessea Hakizima and Brooklyn Marsh from Chesterbrook School, James Hunger and Quinn Murphy from Churchill Road School, Audrey Cheung and Zachary Flook from Franklin Sherman School , Noor Mobin and Jack Denk from Kent Gardens School, and Aaniya Kansal and Sina Rezvani from Springhill elementary school. In addition, two musicians, from Cooper Middle School: Sophie Li and Vera Lee were given awards in recognition of their excellence in the clarinet and the flute respectively. Each musician played a piece for the enjoyment of the audience which included parents and members of the McLean Woman's Club. Subsequently, a box lunch was served to all attendees.
For 15 years, the Woman's Club of McLean has honored these outstanding students. As Woman's Club President Cecilia Glembocki stated, being in the safety patrol shows leadership and demonstrated responsibility. She also added that the two middle school musicians should be congratulated and honored for their dedication to their lessons in the pursuit of artistic excellence over and above the normal school curriculum.
