The long-vacant building at 2900 Columbia Pike -- right across the street from Arlington Cinema & Drafthouse -- will be the new home of BrickHaus, a bar and restaurant focused on beer, according to an ArlNow.com report. The property is being developed by Tony Wagner, who also owns Twisted Vines Bottleshop and Bistro just across the street at 2803 Columbia Pike, according to the report.

In response to the three-alarm fire that damaged Al’s Steak House Wednesday on their grand reopening day, Holy Cow Del Ray, along with the Del Ray business community, will host a pop-up fundraiser to aid the Breeding family, the new owners of Al's. On Thursday, July 14, Holy Cow will transform into Al’s Steak House Pop-up from 5:30 to 10 p.m.
Blue Ridge Grill is expecting to open a third location in Loudoun County during the first week of August in the Ashburn Village Shopping Center, according to Kevin Weitz, general manager. Construction is underway in the location of the former Ruby Tuesday restaurant.

Love barbecue? You'll love this: A celebrity barbecue pitmaster will be opening a restaurant in Old Town Alexandria, according to a recent report by The Washington Post. Myron Mixon, pitmaster of Jack’s Old South, judge on BBQ Pitmasters and cookbook author, will bring his expertise to the new eatery, Myron Mixon’s Pitmaster Barbeque.

Johnny Rockets in Georgetown is getting a whole new look. The '50s diner restaurant chain is continuing with its brand refresh and hosted a grand reopening in Georgetown as part of its "Johnny Rockets 2.0" effort, according to a statement from the company.
First-Ever Workhouse BrewFest Coming Soon to Lorton
More than 30 Virginia craft breweries, 20 food trucks, and 12 bands will be on tap at the first‐ever Workhouse Brewfest on Saturday, August 13, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in Lorton, according to Fairfax County.Participating breweries are from around our region, including county-based breweries in Lorton, Vienna, Reston and Chantilly.
