Details of Accident on Georgetown Pike and Bellview Road

Some of the neighbors inquired of McLean Patch about yesterday's accident on Georgetown Pike at Bellview Road.

Fairfax County police gave these details: The wreck occurred at approximately 5:00 PM, it was a single vehicle crash…Due to illness, the driver passed out, ran off the right side of the road, struck a VDOT sign, a fence, and then a tree. 

There were no apparent injuries due to the collision. 

Due to the nature of the cause of the crash, no other details will be released. The driver was a resident of Great Falls. Fairfax Police usually only release names when someone is charged.

This accident, near the entrance to Madeira School, tied up rush hour traffic.

 The intersection of Bellview Road and Old Dominion Drive is among one of the most dangerous intersections in McLean.
