Fairfax County Fire Training Partly Closes Scott's Run Parking Lot
A portion of the parking lot at Scott's Run Nature Preserve in McLean will be closed through Sunday for a fire and rescue training exercise.

MCLEAN, VA — A portion of the parking lot at Scott’s Run Nature Preserve will be closed to the public through Sunday to allow the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department to conduct a training exercise.
While part of the parking lot will be closed Friday through Sunday, the Fairfax County Park Authority also noted that at all times, parking is only permitted in legally designated parking spaces at Scott’s Run Nature Preserve and that illegal parking will be enforced.
The parking lot is located at 7400 Georgetown Pike in McLean.

Scott's Run Nature Preserve, one of the few nature preserves operated by the Fairfax County Park Authority, is part of the Potomac Gorge. Scott's Run flows into the Potomac River.
Some of the park’s trails are gentle and wind through forest. Other trails require hiking up and down steep hills and cliffs.
