Much-anticipated steakhouse Fogo de Chao opens Monday in Tysons showcasing Southern Brazilian grilling technique of "churrasco."

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- Fogo de Chão, the Southern Brazilian steakhouse, is opening its first location in Northern Virginia (and second location in metropolitan D.C.) Monday.

The restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner service on Monday. Located at 1775 Tysons Blvd. in Tysons (see map below), the restaurant will feature an open kitchen, showcasing the Southern Brazilian grilling technique of "churrasco," an expansive outdoor patio for al fresco dining and a taste of traditional Southern Brazilian culture and cuisine.

“Tysons is such an exciting and dynamic city, attracting guests from all over the world,” said Larry Johnson, Chief Executive Officer of Fogo de Chão. “We are thrilled to become part of this community and introduce our passion for Southern Brazilian culture and cuisine to residents and visitors alike.”

The menu is anchored around the full churrasco experience – the art of roasting meats over an open fire, and espeto corrido, or “continuous service” – that Fogo de Chão began serving more than 37 years ago in Southern Brazil. The menu features fire-roasted meats that are seasoned, prepared and carved tableside by a team of Brazilian-trained gaucho chefs. Some guest favorites include filet mignon, lamb chops and ribeye, as well signature Brazilian cuts like their house specialty Picanha sirloin. As a complement to the variety of protein options, guests can also enjoy the gourmet Market Table and Feijoada Bar, which includes seasonal salads, soups, fresh vegetables, Feijoada (Brazilian black bean stew), and authentic Brazilian side dishes. To celebrate the new location, an introductory price of $48.95 is being offered for dinner.

The new Tysons Fogo de Chão location offers a variety of other dining options and experiences for everyone, including:
