McLean Crime Report: Road Rage Assault
The latest crime information from the McLean District of the Fairfax County Police Department.

The following incident information was obtained from the Activity Reports provided by Fairfax County Police Department’s Public Information Office in the past week.
The incidents included are at the discretion of the PIO and are not to be considered all-inclusive.

Addresses listed indicate block numbers, not necessarily a specific address. Where arrests are mentioned, they do not indicate a conviction.
UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 8100 block of Carnegie Hall Court, 4 p.m., March 22, a esident reported someone entered his storage unit. Apparently, nothing was stolen, and there were no signs of forced entry.

GRAFFITI, 8200 block of Stonewall Drive, 8:45 a.m. March 22, a resident reported several trashcans were spray painted. The owner has been notified to remove the graffiti.
ROBBERY, 8300 block of Greensboro Drive, 9:10 p.m. March 24, a 37-year-old reported she was robbed near an ATM. The suspect approached demanded money and fled with her purse. He was described as black, approximately 6’ tall with a muscular build. He was wearing dark clothing and covered his face.
CRASH, Peabody Drive/Griffith Road, 9:30 p.m. March 26, officers were called for a crash involving a vehicle and a bicyclist. The 49-year-old driver turned onto Peabody Drive and struck the 33-year-old bicyclist who was in the wrong lane with no reflective equipment or lights. Speed was not a factor. Alcohol may be factor for the bicyclist only who was transported with life-threatening injuries. He was upgraded to non life-threatening at the hospital. Read more here. GRAFFITI, 1900 block of Kidwell Drive, 4 p.m. March 27, an officer saw an image painted on a bridge. The owner has been notified to remove the graffiti.
ASSAULT, Chain Bridge Road/Old Courthouse Road, 8 p.m. March 25, a 25-year-old reported he was nearly cut-off by another vehicle. At the next stop light, the other driver exited her vehicle. The victim got out of his car because he could not move it. The suspect assaulted him. The case is under investigation.
