McLean District Crime: Two Gunpoint Robberies Over the Weekend

The following incidents were included in the April 1 and 2 daily police reports from the Fairfax County Police Department’s McLean District Station. (See a map of the district here.)

Addresses listed indicate block numbers, not necessarily a specific address. Where arrests are mentioned, they do not indicate a conviction.

ROBBERY, 2800 block of Hollywood Road, 2 a.m. Saturday, March 30 - A 44-year-old reported a man approached him, brandished a handgun, and demanded his wallet. The victim handed him the wallet and the suspect fled. 

ROBBERY, 8000 block of Lee Highway, 5:30 p.m. Sunday, March 31 - A 41-year-old clerk reported someone allegedly entered the business, brandished a handgun, and demanded money. He took cash and fled. Officers searching the area located the suspect. An 18-year-old man from Vienna was charged with robbery and the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. 

BURGLARY, 2400 block of Cedar Lane, 6:45 p.m. Sunday, March 31 - A resident reported someone entered the home and stole jewelry and a vehicle. Forced entry was made through a rear door. 

GRAFFITI, 1400 block of Teague Drive, 6:30 p.m. Sunday, March 31 - A resident reported someone painted letters on a garage door. The owner was notified to remove the graffiti.

8100 block of Strawberry Lane, license/jacket/car keys from business
