McLean Election 2025 Voter Guide: Candidates For Delegate, 3 Statewide Races

McLean voters will cast ballots Tuesday to choose the governor and two other statewide races, plus the District 6 House of Delegates race.

MCLEAN, VA — Voters in McLean will head to the polls Tuesday to choose the next governor, lieutenant governor, and attorney general, as well as vote for who will represent them in the Virginia House of Delegates.

As of Sunday, 137,215 voters cast ballots in-person during the early voting period, which started on Sept. 19 and ended on Saturday, according to the Electoral Process Education Corporatio. In addition, 51,567 mail-in votes have been tallied, which means a total of 189,187 or 23.5 percent of all eligible voters, have already cast ballots. Polls will be open Tuesday between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m.

In addition, Fairfax County voters will decide whether to approve the 2025 school bond referendum. Here is the full text that appears on the ballot:

"Shall Fairfax County, Virginia, contract a debt, borrow money, and issue capital improvement bonds in the maximum aggregate principal amount of $460,000,000 for the purposes of providing funds, in addition to funds from school bonds previously authorized, to finance, including reimbursement to the County for temporary financing for, the costs of school improvements, including acquiring, building, expanding, and renovating properties, including new sites, new buildings or additions, renovations and improvements to existing buildings, and furnishings and equipment, for the Fairfax County public school system?"

How To Vote

To vote on Election Day, visit your assigned polling place between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. An acceptable form of ID is required to vote in person.

Visit the Citizen Portal on the Virginia Department of Elections website to check your registration status. The deadline for registering or updating your registration to vote in person or by mail was Oct. 24. However, voters may register and vote using a provisional ballot in-person on Election Day.

Completed mail-in ballots can be turned in at drop boxes at any Fairfax County polling place or the drop box at the Fairfax County Government Center on election day. The deadline for returning a ballot by drop box is 7 p.m. on Nov. 4. Completed ballots returned by mail must be received by noon on Nov. 7.
