Elderly Hybla Valley Couple Dies In Fatal Crash in Tysons Corner
Police initially reported incorrectly that victim lived in McLean
An elderly Hybla Valley couple have died following injuries they sustained in a crash Thursday morning in Tysons Corner, Fairfax county police announced Friday morning.
Sumiko Hagan, 81, of the 7400 block of Northrop Road in Hybla Valley died at Inova Fairfax Hospital Thursday. Fairfax police initially reported that she lived in McLean.
Joseph Michael Hagan, 89, her husband and the driver of the car died at Inova Fairfax Hospital of the injuries he had sustained, police said.

Police responded to the report of a crash in the 8200 block of Greensboro Drive shortly before 11am Thursday. The initial investigation showed that an 89-year-old man was driving a 2008 Scion on Greensboro Drive and lost control.
The vehicle accelerated as it entered a parking garage and traveled approximately 225 feet down a narrow ramp. The Scion continued until it struck a concrete support pole and an unoccupied parked vehicle head on.

ORIGINAL Story Thursday: An 81-year-old Hybla Valley resident died today after the car in which she was a passenger was involved in a crash in Tysons Corner, Fairfax County police said.

The driver and the 81-year-old, female passenger were transported to a local hospital.
Fairfax police did not identify the driver. Police also gave no details of whether any charges would be involved in this incident.
