During their investigation, police learned that Sak’s Fifth Avenue at Tyson’s Gallery had been looking into Oladinni’s thefts for more than a month.
FCPD detectives retrieved additional merchandise from Oladinni’s apartment, worth more than $49,000, police said. Detectives also found tools used in his thefts that allow a thief to circumvent alarm systems on merchandise, according to police.
Oladinni was taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and charged with grand larceny, larceny with intent to distribute, and possession of burglarious tools. He was held on a $3,000 secured bond.
The FCPD said its detectives are continuing to work with loss prevention officials on possible additional charges against Oladinni.
