NC Man Identified As Victim In Fatal Crash On Inner Loop In VA: Police

GREAT FALLS, VA — Virginia State Police identified 33-year-old Damaree D. Sanders of Raford, North Carolina as the victim in the fatal crash on the Capital Beltway in Fairfax County on Sunday morning, according to a release.

Sanders was driving north on the Inner Loop of the Capital Beltway around 6:04 a.m., on Sunday, when the tractor-trailer he was driving slammed into the guardrail and then a pole near the exit for Georgetown Pike, according to police. VSP say that Sanders died at the scene.

No information was available Monday morning on the cause of the crash, which remains under investigation, according to police.
