Reports of a fire this morning at McLean House in downtown McLean was a false alarm, fire officials said a few minutes ago. "It was a non-event," a fire official said. The staff at McLean House turned on the boilers this morning sending a puff of smoke through the chimney, officials said. An alert resident saw the smoke and called the fire department. End of story.
