NYC's Acclaimed David Dorfman Dance To Perform At The Alden In McLean
New York City's David Dorfman Dance company will be performing "(A)Way Out of My Body" on Friday, April 14 at The Alden theater in McLean.

MCLEAN, VA — New York City’s David Dorfman Dance company will be performing “(A)Way Out of My Body,” a work that uses out-of-body experiences as a metaphor for current times, on Friday, April 14 at The Alden theater in McLean.
Tickets for the performance are $25, $20 for seniors and students, and $15 for McLean Community Center district residents. The Alden is located inside the McLean Community Center at 1234 Ingleside Ave.
“(A)Way Out of My Body” explores the effects of trauma and isolation on individual experiences and bodies. In the performance, dancers propel themselves through space and time, attempting to pass the barrier of reality and plight into the realm of resilience and joy.

"(A)Way Out of My Body," a work by choreographer David Dorfman, had its regional premiere in February 2020 at Connecticut College. The work was funded by the National Endowment of the Arts, Harkness Foundation, New York State Council on the Arts, and other organizations.
