Overnight Ramp Closure Planned From I-495 To George Washington Parkway
The ramp from southbound I-495 to southbound George Washington Parkway will be closed during overnight hours on Thursday and Friday.

MCLEAN, VA — The ramp from southbound Interstate 495 to southbound George Washington Memorial Parkway will be closed during overnight hours on Thursday, Sept. 14, and Friday, Sept. 15, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.
The ramp will close between the hours of 11 p.m. and 4 a.m. each night, and traffic will be detoured to the next exit to access the George Washington Parkway. This closure is necessary for crews to conduct stormwater drainage work as part of the 495 NEXT project, VDOT said.
For drivers taking the detour, they should continue south on I-495 and take Exit 44 for Georgetown Pike. At the first Georgetown Pike traffic light, turn left and continue on the bridge over the Beltway.
